Shraga Landesman Silver Turquoise Curved Havdalah Spice Holder Aluminum

The well-known Judaica artist Shraga Landesman has produced this striking aluminum spice holder for use during havdalah. It comes in silver and turquoise and at the front is written words from the blessing on spices “boreh minei besomim”. We take leave of the Shabbat with our senses – taste through drinking the wine, sight with the light of the candle and smell through sniffing the spices. On Shabbat we were enriched with an extra soul and we used it to elevate ourselves and utilize the day to reconnect with our inner selves. Now that this extra soul is leaving us, we are saddened and we strengthen ourselves by smelling spices – usually aromatic herbs with the prayer that during the coming week our senses should be properly utilized.
