Perek Shiroh - the Chapter of Song - is a moving text of a few chapters describing how the entire universe is a woven tapestry singing praises to G-d. It describes how all of the creation - from the Heavens and earth, to all the animals and even every blade of grass - all sing their own individual song of praise to G-d, acknowledging His greatness and the wisdom of their creation. Although the Shiroh is mentioned in the Talmud and is reputed to have been written by King David, it was relatively unknown until recent times. Today, it has become widely available and many people read it daily. The Sages promised that one who recites Perek Shirah in this world will merit to recite it in the World to Come.
