One of the iconic features of the Israel Museum’s art garden is Robert Indiana’s 13-foot-tall steel AHAVA sculpture, created for the Museum in 1978 on the basis of his famous sculpture LOVE. It depicts the Hebrew word "Ahava" (love), split into two rows of two letters sitting on top of each other. It is a gift of Beverly and Dr. Raymond Sackler, Connecticut, to American Friends of the Israel Museum
